each delegate will wear an earth warrior super hero costume to be highlighted during the opening number, a super hero name will also be chosen by each delegate to correspond to their eco tourism site or their cultural significance. there will be three preliminary judging criteria to be followed this year, first is figure and form, second beauty of face and poise , third is intelligence and environmental knowledge.

regarding the franchises, france is still in limbo, miss france org. said they will pariticpate next year as they could not find an appropriate delegate for miss earth this year. the miss nationale org. will see if they can complete the requirements and they will do another casting to choose another delegate. miss earth china used to be owned by a group, which unfortunately had disagreements and broke off last year, hence the two miss earth china candidates in 2016. so carousel has awarded the miss earth china franchise to yvonne and miss earth chinese taipei to the other group.scotland is open , former miss earth queens are gearing up to take on the challenge in growing the miss earth brand in scotland.belarus will debut for the first ime at miss earth 2017 ,with the gorgeous redhead polli cannabis.
