india once reigned supreme at miss earth , those days when india was feared and everyone wondered with bated breaths as to who will be in to continue the esteemed status of india at miss earth. in the 13 years of the miss earth pageant india produced one of the most loved winners of the crown ,nicole faria  in 2010  . they also had 2 miss air placements in 2006 and 2007 and several semifinalists.this is an impeccable record.

but the last three years india seemed to have lost its magic touch and the last three girls although favorites did not advance into the top 16.everyone wonders why? well the answer is very simple, india has for some reason forgotten the very essence why they have been very successful at miss earth in the first place. in miss earth the biggest chunk of the score is given during the no make up physical assessment. this is when the girls are judged in their rawest form of beauty and where the one who is truly physically beautiful comes out.if you look closely at the last three girls they sent , they are very far away from what encompasses the complete beauty of nicole faria. take into consideration also that in the last three years the quality of the girls has upped so competition is more difficult . did india also up their standards in the last three years since nicole faria won? the answer is a big NO. so focus on the criteria , do not overanalyze or rationalize with reasons that everyone already knows are insignificant.
