its been a long time earthlings, so many changes happened , bridges were burned , disappointments took over and inspiration faltered. aside from that, there was a major shake up in the house of queens earlier this year so there was a period of lull, now that we all have put our differences aside  let us move forward to a new beginning. miss earth 2019 is within our midst and the pageant we all love will bloom to its utmost potential.

miss earth 2019 will be hosted by the bicol region , specifically legazpi , albay . as we all know this region is a powerhouse in pageantry and a long time supporter of the miss earth pageant. when albay hosts the miss earth candidates rest assured they will have the most memorable memories. look at these videos of years past and you will see why they deservingly should host this years pageant.

the actual venue is still being discussed and they are looking for the most suitable place for an international beauty pageant.

one of the things that excites me every year is definitely the miss earth venezuela pageant, bar none the most successful and the best national pageant created exclusively for miss earth. this year is no exception, it has gathered the most beautiful and the highest quality girls in venezuela for 2019. i can safely say in terms of facial beauty the miss earth venezuela 2019 girls are better than the miss venezuela 2019 girls. the winner of miss venezuela 2019 thalia was a precandidate in miss earth venezuela 2018, winning miss air in the regional miss earth carabobo 2018 pageant. the first runner up of el concurso by osmel applied for 2019, she did not make the top 30. here are some behind the scenes video of the pageant. each girl is molded and trained in a holistic manner, from catwalk, to gym, to pasarela , english lessons, to oratorical skills improvement. they are even provided free dental ,hair and cosmetic enhancement at their own volition.they are also scheduled to do environmental activities throughout the whole pageant season. watch it here:

another franchise to look forward to is miss earth spain , i think finally miss earth has found the perfect partner to grow the brand in spain. it is handled by no less than jose pulido the son of katy pulido. katy pulido has produced several queens throughout the years, including miss universe 1996 alicia machado, miss earth water 2014 maira alexandra rodriguez , stephanie de zorzi miss earth water 2016. jose pulido has worked with the miss venezuela pageant for years as well as the katy pulido agency. he has also worked on network televesion both in venezuela and in spain. so he has the experience to train a competitive queen and to stage a well produced pageant.

now with regards to some tidbits, thailand is confirmed , officially complied with the requirements but the owner of the new franchise does not want the name published as the owner. one vague clue is that, it is a veteran director who knows pageantry, they will be appointing the queen this year. slovak republic will be back and one of the winners of the combined cesko slovensko pageant will go to miss earth 2019. panama is not confirmed , the applicant has not fulfilled the requirements, so as of this time no official franchise holder for panama. i am eyeing a former miss earth queen who lives in panama , hope she takes it. crimea has not fulfilled requirements , so no official franchise holder. there are two parties currently talking to carousel one of them is the miss crimea pageant and the other is the one who sent a candidate for crimea last year. whoever fulfills the requirements first will take the franchise. the new miss earth austria is under the strong leadership of the mader family. confirmed destinations are bicol region and pampanga, while palawan is under negotiation, hopefully it pushes through. last years pageant used the semicontinental format, the eight goddesses who topped the preliminary competition made top 16 irregardless of continent, the rest of the 8 were the two top scorers per continent after the top 8 scorers were chosen.
