miss earth venezuela 2017 was the highest rated pageant and the most social media engaged pageant in venezuela last year. this is a record breaking success for a pageant which suffered so much sabotage from the more older pageant and so many naysayers looking down on the pageant. but with the hardwork alyz henrich and prince julio cesar as well as the ample support of globovision, they made a monumental success that broke records and and surprised everyone in the pageant world. the success was so phenomenal for 2018 globovision the official media for miss earth venezuela is producing a weekly reality show that features behind the scenes footage of what happens ,the drama, preparations, family, blood, sweat and tears in the quest for the most beautiful goddess in venezuela to represent the beauty pageant powehouse in miss earth 2018. the show is held every sunday at 10 pm venezuela time and aptly entitled "QUIERO SER MISS TIERRA" .

QUIERO SER MISS TIERRA is aired every sunday at 10 pm on globovision. the first series documents the audition process where countless venezuelan beauties had undergo intense scrutiny from the selection committee which comprised of president and miss earth 2013 alyz henrich, president prince julio cesar, designer hugo espina , catwalk coach maria jose villaseco, gym and personal trainer coach eleazar guzman, official plastic surgeon sharon cimolino, official dental artist thomas seif, producer juan carlos and of course globovision representatives.

second week of  QUIERO SER MISS TIERRA saw the announcement of the 24 official candidates which were selected from the countless applicants who aspired to be part of  the esteemed group of girls to become a miss earth venezuela candidate.the 2018 roster is proving to be a formidable one with lots of strong candidates ready to become the earth goddess who is tasked to cast a spell on everyone she meets all over the world and make them advocates for mother natures preservation.this is quite a roller coaster ride to see as you see the utmost excitement and joy of the girls who were chosen but at the same time you see the other girls heartbroken and in tears as they say goodbye to their dream of becoming miss earth venezuela 2018 candidate.

it was also revealed during the announcemnet of the official candidates that the hosts for miss earth venezuela 2018 finals on august 12, 2018 will be the iconic and most respected host in venezuela maite delgado.she is an institution of venezuela showbiz industry and is the most sought after host this side of south america. maite will also be joined by another distinguished and well celebrated host kerly ruiz , a definite casting coup, as only miss earth venezuela and globovision can gather these two megastars in one show.

the third week of the series saw the girls particiapte in various activities offered by the miss earth venezuela team. various training sessions as well as tv appearances and guestings on different tv shows of globovision.the girls even had the taste of doing actual tv presentation as a good training for them on how to be confident infront of the camera.they had clasees on interview and public speaking with miguel zambrano, catwalk and poise lessons with maria jose villaseco. the girls aslo underwent consultations with the official cosmetic surgeon of the pageant sharon cimolino to determine what procedures need to be done to enhance the beauty of the girls so that their goddess aura will come out in full potential.the most common procedures the girls went with are nose job, chin lift, liposculpture , breast lifts and botox. make overs were also made by stylists which ranged from hair color change ,skin care improvement, make up application, to proper fashion look. their smiles were also upgraded under the hands of dental expert tomas seif the official dental cosmetic sponsor of miss earth venezuela 2018.the miss earth venezuela 2018 candidates will come out of this experience a beautiful, complete woman with a wealth of experience she can be proud of for years to come.

the fourth week shows more physical transformations of the girls being done , more classes and trainings to increase their knowledge, their gym routines by eleazar molina and dietary regimen. the goddess in the girls are slowly and magically being developed and what stunning results indeed. as you know venezuela is in the middle of a financial crisis, but miss earth venezuela is doing everything and leaving no stone unturned to give thegirls the best experience and also the whole pageant world the best show in venezuela.

throughout the show you will aso see the family members of the girls being interviewed visiting them as well as giving messages of support, as the pageant progresses you can see favorites strating to edge out and make themselves known as frontrunners.

1.lara - diana silva my ultimate favorite to win, she is a super goddess in the making, she will be perfect for miss earth 2018.

2.barinas - maite garcia one of the most beautiful faces in this years competition, she has an international moviestar charisma about her and hot hot body!

3.sucre - iriana guzman next to diana silva i think she has the most potential,no one notices her but she has the goods very tall, soft beautiful face and with the recent nose job and dental enhancments she will come out a goddess! watch out for her...

4.anzoategui - katiuska andrade exotic flower ready to blossom, pocahontas indigenous type beauty.

5.falcon - veronica araque what a beautiful chameleon face,hers is a blank canvass that could be trasformed to different looks aand come out stunning everytime. one of the girls who underwent liposculpture, she is ready.

6.apure - luisana hernandez legit bombshell vibes , with a very toned curvy body and the strong sexy features that go with it, add to that luscious thick hair equals sizzling hot latina.

7.distrito capital - ma. patricia paez classic beauty , find her features very endearing, she does need to work on her body especially toning but very transformable.

8.guarico - gabriela vasquez angelic face with girl next door aura. she is eye candy ,vibrant and so radiant. looking at her and hear her speak makes your day brighter and lovelier.

9.merida - gabriela espana she has a strong presence and she looks different from the rest of the girls. there is something about her that makes her standout in a bevy of beautiful girls.

10. delta amacuro - sherryl peralta social media superstar with 1.6 million followers on instagram, this girl is a go getter and oozes steamy voluptuousness feels about her.

i had a very hard time trimming my favorites to 10 as they are almost at same levels and are definitely competitive batch.the judges will for sure have a hard time choosing this year. a special charity night of glamour and pageantry will happen on july 28,2018 in valencia where money will be raised to help in breast cancer fund. alyz henrich, prince julio cesar and maite delgado will be special guests together with globovision ,different stars,politicians, businessmen and of course the 2018 miss earth venezuela queens.

miss earth venezuela truly revolutionized what pageantry means for venezuela in this day and age. some old style are now outdated , miss earth venezuela provided a new slant, freshe new ideas and is now considered the most exciting"IT" pageant in venezuela.record breaking, historic, innovative, heartwarming and real.

mio tanaka is the winner of miss earth japan 2018, and damn they chose the best one. she is so kawaii and has a strong chance of putting back japan in the top 16 of miss earth 2018. the last time japan placed was in 2012 , no better girl than mio to do it again.she is the tallest miss earth japan ever at 5'10" with impressive soft porcelain doll features.

now let us get into some news tidbits, i know everyone is hungry for it. brazil will be appointed this year ,miss earth brazil pageant will happen later this year and the winner will go to miss earth 2019. the organization has decided to have one year preparation for the queen.germany and aruba are in the process of completing the requirements, both countries joined miss earth last 2015.with regards to sri lanka, pulse is the digital arm of tv derana , they wanted to appeal to the younger viewers and more quality girls that can compete well internationally. hence they had their digital network handle miss earth sri lanka for 2018, the pageant finals will still be aired via tv derana.there is already an international artist commisioned to perform for finals night of miss earth 2018 and norway might come back in 2019 with new director.

nina robertson, miss earth air 2018 will come back soon and perform her duties , her first trip is malaysia from september 1-9 , she will be with karen ibasco for environmental and tourism related activities in malaysia. i have a little known fact about nina, she had the highest score all throughout the night during the finals, she was the top scorer for the preliminary competition when the top 16 was chosen, she also had the highest score when the top 8 was chosen , still had the highest score when the top 4 was announced. the final question was when karen ibasco snatched the top score from her , hence her earth shaking win. all the elemental queens get to travel during their reign, something that is unique to miss earth, the elemental court actually has a reign too. karen travelled so much during her reign both internationally and inside the philippines.she was with all her court in cambodia, she was with tita lorraine in vietnam, she was with juliana in mexico, lada was with her in mauritius and reunion island, singapore is coming, then colombia with juliana, panama is with juliana, malaysia with nina and belgium with lada.another little know fact , few days before the department of environment and natural resources invited miss earth to reopen boracay , another bidder was actually in manila and visited carousel productions to finalize the deal to hold it in their country.but boracay island is way too irresistible to say no...GODDESSES MISS EARTH 2018 BORACAY ISLAND !!!

when a president personally invites you to come to his hometown and a government agency invites you to open its biggest and most momentuous project ever, that is called credibilty , reliability and ultimate trust.being trusted by the president of the philippines rodrigo duterte and the department of environemnt and natural resources led by secretary roy cimatu to officially reopen the best island in the world ,BORACAY from its six month rehabilitation is a great honor the miss earth pageant has been given. when you are true to your advocacy and the highest officials of government know that you you have the best record of integrity, hardwork and making real difference then you get the distinction of reopening the most beautiful beach in the world, boracay island. miss earth is the only pageant that introduced boracay island to the whole pageant world in 2009, the year miss earth really burst out into the international arena and became a major player in the pagean industry. ecotourism, waste management, environmental protection are the very core of miss earth mission, things that every tourist development needs to have in place to become sustainable, so it is the perfect pageant to reopen the world famous philippine gem, BORACAY ISLAND!!!

miss earth has been promoting the philippines for years now and has been advocating for sustainable tourism since the very beginning, so why will the government spend millions of dollars on another pageant that does not have the philippines interests on its agenda and did not even feature anything about philippine culture and tourism the last time they held it here. miss earth has the philippines front and center and what it has to offer from beautiful sceneries, amazing culture, prime hospitality , delicious food and most of all the genuine happy filipinos which always captures the hearts of the queens whenever they come.that is why the secretary of the department of  environment and natural resources roy cimatu, with the approval of president duterte personally invited the miss earth pageant to formally relaunch boracay island to the world.

miss earth philippines winners are the only national pageant winners in the philippines who actually have a reign, they are always invited by different governmental agencies as well as private groups to grace their special events as they know that miss earth has a solid platform and are always dependable to follow through with what they advocate for, becoming role models for everone to follow.the miss earth philippines girls recently were in davao city where president rodrigo duterte personally invited them to experience the beautiful islands, exotic flora and fauna ,unique culture,sumptuous delicacies, stunning nature and of course do environmental school tours in his hometown. the president personally arranged for the itinerary of the miss earth team and he was there to meet them as well. davao might also be one of the possible places the miss earth 2018 candidates will be visiting during the whole month they will be here from october to november.

the ladies were toured all over davao and the surrounding islands where they the best times and even experienced making their signature chocolates from the chocolate museum.

while the reigning miss earth philippines 2018ladies had their own itinerary, the reigning miss earth 2017 winner karen ibasco had her own schedule as well. the miss earth organization is the most trusted pageant in the philippines when it comes to promoting culture as well as advancing a campaign. karen ibasco was a speaker and special guest at the bataan environmental summit, she also shared a powerful message at the energy development council where she was special guest and invited speaker.

karen was also invited by the open arms for children in iloilo where she participated in the 1000 trees for the future campaign. the queens are working everyday in different parts of the philippines to continue to spread the advocacy of environmental protection to make more filipinos and people of the world aware of the importance of taking care of our environment. 

miss earth 2017 is a job that requires a lot of work and resistance that is why a miss earth queen has to be dedicated and strong, because when she wins lots of activities are there for her to tackle. next month karen will be busy with international trips ,august2-4 she will be in singapore, august 19-26 she will be in colombia, after the trip to colombia karen will proceed to panama with juliana franco. september 19-25 karen will travel to belgium together with miss fire lada akimova.

now let us get into some tidbits of information i know you earthlings want to hear, let us start with bolivia, the one they announced as miss earth bolivia 2018 was not accepted by carousel productions due as she is overaged. after disrespecting miss earth title, they were begging and pleading to accept the candidate,but carousel stood ground which i totally support. because even guam and portugal who have exclusive miss earth pageants for their country had to follow rules when their candidate was underage, and south africa one of the most established franchise holder for miss earth had to follow rules as well when their candidate did not reach the height requirement, the nerve of this franchise to even demand at first to accept their candidate which eventually resorted to begging and pleading when carousel did not budge to their request.so expect to have no bolivia for 2018, unless they come up with another candidate that is officially crowned as miss earth bolivia. the new franchise holder for bolivia and paraguay will start in 2019 , as the current one already completed the requirements before the new applicant spoke to carousel.after nine years of absence greece will be coming back for 2018, their plan was to join next year, but have decided to send a candidate for 2018 which is perfect as the theme fits greece to a T, goddesses.

as for the venue for the 2018 finals, tentatively it is same as the last 2 years the mall of asia arena unless they can find a suitable venue in boracay island, then the finals will be in boracay island. for sure though the whole batch of 2018 will be in boracay island for its reopening on october 26, 2018. such lucky girls, they will experience the new and improved boracay island, if things push through they might do their introductions in the island with the beauty of boracay in the background highlighting why it is named best beach in the world for many years now.

albania might come back for 2018, they are trying their best to fulfill the requirements, switzerland has paid for the franchise for the next three years so its rest assured they will be present.for hungary, the previous franchise holder is not allowed to use the miss earth hungary title as they have not sent any requirements for 2018 at all, so expect for hungary to be absent for 2018.miss earth moldova 2018 is the gorgeous izsbisciuc dumitrita.

another partnership among directors have been sealed, miss earth poland national director francys barrazza has been invited to judge miss earth venezuela 2018 and was a special guest in the home of miss earth venezuela globovision.

miss earth 2018 will again be the most exciting pageant like every year . it is the second most talked about pageant and the only one of two pageant that trended in 2017 during the finals night. no matter how much those minor pageants do their dirty tricks, they dont have the base to pull off what miss earth can.
