over 50 million people watched the show from the livestream ,to the live broadcast in different channels covering the whole world, miss earth truly has become a force to reckon with and will be here to stay.i myself do not agree with the results but , it was already decided by the judges and the winners are chosen. we just have to learn to find ways to accept it , even if it is hard because this was scored , audited by a reputable accounting firm. no manipulation whatsoever was done by carousel productions , so you will be rest assured there was no under the table dealings here.
it was a glittering show , full of frenzy, drama and the best opening number ever. my jaw dropped at how fast paced and so very well carried out the sequences were from the dazzling lighting, the spectacular stage and the perfect execution of the unique concepts. i didnt think it will work at first but wow, i was astounded at how fluid and well executed each portion of the show was done. carousel productions really upped the production and i dont think any other pageant can beat it this year.
oh the opening, just completely wow, i am totally fascinated and mesmerized . starting with the elements and then miss earth 2016 entering and performing, to the girls introducing their heroine names in heroine costumes, to their dance routine, i cant get enough of it. i love it so much i keep rewatching it, this really was a great production.this is the best opening number ever in any pageant! the host james deakin was an excellent host, he was very efficient, his voice very solid and authoritative that really highlighted all the energy throughout the show. the announcement of the top 16 in all three official prelimnary events was another innovation that was a certified topnotch idea. this made so many girls get recognition and also gives the worldwide audience a chance to see who did very well and have a big chance of making the top 16. i personally would like this tradition to be continued every year and the candidates would appreciate it so much as well as their families ,fans and directors.
the top 16 was announced in two segments with the girls directly going into the evening gown competitions being scored in order to decide who makes the top 8. remember in the previous entry i mentioned that the continental placement was going to be scarpped this year? well that was the initial plan, but after the results came out the miss earth organization decided to revert back to continental placement in order to be more inclusive since environmental protection should cover the whole world. the original top 16 without the continental placements were dominated by two continents only , so miss earth decided to revert back into full continental placement for 2017, in order to include every continent in the celebration of our mother earth.i love the music in this segment and the girls really upped the perormance onstage and were out to really conquer the hearts of the judges as well as the crowd and people watching.
the music in the swimsuit competition signalled the battle that was about to happen onstage. dont you love the way the girls came out in fours and just burned that stage like tomorrow is never coming? it was all out hair flipping, hip swaying, sexiness and hotness overflowing. like it was a real battle for the heroine that is going to rule that stage, i was like go girls!!! at this point russia has totally blown me over, i mean that innocent face could actually hit it out and battle it out with the fiercest catwalk divas onstage.you would think she was this shy innocent girl, but damn she totally annihilated some frontrunners on that stage with her baby girl charm and such steamy moves.let me tell you some insider info i gathered, apparently the carousel bosses thought thailand was going to be the winner since everyone loved her and they already observed her during the activities and thought that she can be a good representative of the organization, but on the final night the bosses thought her performances were weak onstage. "mahina ang stage presence" , so it was not just her answer that actually made her not qualify , it was her overall performance onstage as well.venezuela for some reason did not shine last saturday, maybe her styling? her hair covered most of her beautiful face ,her stiff gown did not help and she seemed to look like she is struggling to walk. i really dont know what happened, she was super beautiful the whole 4 weeks then on final night she was blah.venezuela was my bet to win , but for some reason i was underwhelmed with her performance.for those who are wondering there were actually two rounds of judging to choose the top 4. it was not purely based on the hashtag questions, but when the top 8 was announced the girls were scored when they strutted to the center and walked in their swimsuits.
this is the part that sealed the deal for who will win miss earth 2017, the frontrunners totally fizzled out and gave karen ibasco an easy victory. the three girls who were supposed to stop philippines from winning did not deliver so the inevitable happened. this was the part thailand could have claimed the crown ,she could have stomped her authority and made it hers, she didnt. i am like come on girls fight for it,make it difficult for karen, it didnt happen, which made me so sad because at this point i already knew the one thing everyone feared will happen , will definitely happen.
so it did, at this point philippines was unstoppable, as she is well trained and is a very smart ,confident intelligent woman. like i pointed out in previous posts, according to carousel, the moment karen ibasco screened and got interviewed to be a candidate for miss philippines earth, at that point they already had a feeling she will win miss earth 2017, something they did not feel about the other three filipina queens who won miss earth previously. that is how impressive this woman is in person and in interview, so unless you will stop her by outperforming her, then she will win.the beauty of karen ibasco comes out the moment she talks , her passion for the cause and knowledge.
now that the winners are chosen, we need not stress because carousel productions is confident that they chose the best ambassador for their brand . they know that she will be the one who will best forward their causes and their agenda.even if the whole world is against it, they know what they wanted and to them they got the best one out of the bunch that could speak for them and represent them in the finest way possible.they gave a chance to everyone to prove them wrong and look somewhere else, but all the ones who they thought would do it for them fizzeld out, so they had no choice but to crown who ultimately rose up and performed the best, since this is still a competition and they just cannot give the crown away even if the performance was not good enough. i dont agree with it, but i choose to respect it and hopefully carousel made the right decision, as they are the ones who will eventually deal with the backlash and repercussions.
now for some tidbits, steven seagal was supposed to be a judge that night, he was unable to fly on time that night as he was in bangkok ,thailand. the flight was delayed but his wife and son were present during the coronation night. and what do you know our queens already have international trips lined up for them, next few weeks all four ladies will travel to cambodia for promotions as well as environmental activities. after cambodia they will possibly travel to bali, indonesia as well. see they are already off to a great start.
i was wondering why there was a sense of excitement despite the backlash from the victory of karen, then i learned something that you earthlings will be very excited about. apparently there will be a major partnership that will happen very soon with a huge, i mean huge company. carousel already gave us a glimpse of what is to come by coming up with a superb production, so as what tita lorraine schuck said" hold on tight" earthlings.
