colombia has elected a prime candidate for miss earth 2016, she is the statuesque michelle gomez who has set her eyes on the miss earth crown since 2011.  michelle first joined miss earth colombia at the young age of 18 in 2011, armed with experience , determination and the complete package she finally clinched the coveted title of miss earth colombia 2016.

colombia is one of the powerhouse countries in beauty pageants, but since miss earth started it has not won a crown ,not even an elemental crown. that might change this year , as michelle is coming in as a major frontrunner . michelle has a unique , beautiful feminine face, and has the miss earth aura written all over her face.her type of beauty is something that has not been seen from a colombian beauty queen, testament to the multicultural nature of colombian people. she is also very tall with a willowy model frame and has a humble and friendly attitude , something miss earth treasures so much.

for those who missed the pageant here are video recaps , you can see the girls enjoyed the beautiful nature the host city armenia quindio offered. it is an experience the girls will never forget as they went to teach children about environmental protection, experience the tough life of  being a soldier one day ,planted trees and toured the stunning valle del cocora home to the tallest palm trees in the world, palma de cera the national tree and pride of colombia.

in this part of the video, our reigning miss earth 2015 angelia ong and miss earth water 2015 brittany ann payne, appeared on stage together with elias tobon , the national director who worked so hard , to make this pageant a great success. angelia and brittany felt loved by the warmth and admiration of the colombian people,they looked stunning in their colombian made gowns and were emotional as they thanked the colombian people for treating them like family.

the final part is the coronation , where michelle cried her heart out as her long time dream has come true and she will be carrying the flag of colombia at the most relevant pageant in existence.

aside from the well planned out activities, every thing was very professional miss earth colombia 2016 also had miss earth 2015angelia ong ,miss earth water 2015 brittany ann payne as well as everyone's sweetheart the lovely miss earth aruba 2015 on hand to help crown the winners. of course the very hot reigning queen estefania munoz was there to crown her worthy successor , it was a reunion for the 2015 queens and they all had a great time together again.

michelle gomez might have the honor of bringing the very first miss earth crown to colombia, let us wish her luck as she takes on the difficult task of winning miss earth 2016.
