ilze won in a very competitive and the most comprehensive pageant that focuses on what the contestants have done to mother nature with their projects rather than the traditional swimsuit ,gown question and answer rounds to determine the winner. miss earth south africa has revolutionized what pageants are today and what "beauties for a cause" really means.the pageant lasts over six months where the contestants undergo multiple environmental projects and do a hands on approach in everything they do.this is the reason  why miss earth is respected the world over because the contribution that the contestants do to human kind is priceless as it gives back to nature what has been lost for generations , the only nature that we all have and that we need to protect so that more people will be able to enjoy it in the future.
