miss earth philippines made the right choice crowning a facially beautiful and commercially viable winner for 2018. celeste was born in pasay city ,philippines and moved to italy where she eventually grew up. this is a sort of homecoming for her and rediscovering her roots as it is the first time she has come back to her birthplace and a sweet victory by winning the crown so deservingly.celeste is very different from previous miss earth philippines winners , goddess of beauty venus worked her extra magic perfectly on her, as she is blessed with one of the most beautiful and captivating face a filipina delegate ever possessed in pageantry.she has the face ,body, aura and overall appeal that can go from runway, to print, to commercial modelling, to high fashion, to showbusiness.hers is a versatile beauty and carousel has a good ambassadress in her as her market is different from the previous winners. she is the one that has the kind of beauty that appeals to majority of the population not just in the philippines but the whole earth in general. her beauty is one that is globally aprreciated and not something that only caters to a certain group which sometimes can be very divisive and questionable. she speaks italian as her main language and even if she struggles in english , she delivered an honest matter of fact answer during the final question. she was the only one that gave concrete solutions and did not rely on memorized cliche answers like" we have to protect mother earth".she answered the question and did not resort on adding flowery words that are often memorized and mistaken as being inteligent when in fact it was just something they already prepared during training. that is what sets her apart too, she is obviously not pageant patty , which makes her even more beautiful as she is not contrived and robotic.
celeste has a very fun, innocent , positive personality that is very lovable and something new. she doesnt have the stiff ,cookie cutter " world peace" "save mother earth" overly trained beauty queen image and to me that is very refreshing.
karen ibasco missearth 2017 winner was in the beautiful resort city of manzanillo ,colima in mexico getting the royal treatment and enjoying the beautiful sights, sounds as well as the cuisine of this rich cultural mosaic that is mexico. she is accompanied by miss earth-water 2017 juliana franco from colombia and they have immersed themselves in all the wonderful activities organized by national director paul marsell.miss earth mexico supported by the tourism department of colima has really made a special pageant for 2018. the ladies are treated like royalty with various activities that will be considered priceless experiences in their lives.
miss earth mexico had a very successful pageant which ran for almost three weeks. it had a very festive and celebratory atmosphere showcasing the culture and beauty of manzanillo. the activities mirror the international pageant and even their prejudging had the no make up interview.mexico is one of the countries ripe to win their first crown, unfortunately they always struggle in finding the right winner. jalisco would have been an amazing winner and i can totally see winning the international crown, she was beautiful, tall, had a great body ,excellent stage presence, engaging personality and has superstar charisma.sadly she settled for second place, the winner though has the raw goods, she has potential but she needs major training in stage presence, public speaking to have more winning personality ,and she has some physical transformation that needs to be done to be really ready, i hope she does develop into a stalwart competitor.
for the first time costa rica has produced a pageant exclusive for miss earth, after their impressive come back last year with fernanda rodriguez , the national director has establised its first ever miss earth costa rica pageant and it was an excellent start with multiple activites and well supported by sponsors. this pageant will enhance the further growth of the miss earth name in costa rica as well as introduce the wonderful nature of costa rica to the world.the new winner is the beautiful linda avila with one of the hottest and toned body i have seen. she will be costa rica's prime earth warrior who will promote the cause of the miss earth pageant in her country.
a lot of miss earth fans have asked me about a recent pageant that treated the miss earth title very bad , well i know what happened behind the scenes but i would rather not waste anytime on a pageant that does not honor the miss earth title and would easily get swayed by free trips,dirty money and under the table dealings to just to maneouver the rankings in favor of a sham pageant.miss earth does not resort to blackmail tactics just to get ahead, they are secure with their position and would rather focus on working for their advocacies than going around national pageants to do this and do that. these national pageants that honor these kinds of tactics have no integrity are a waste of time and i would rather focus on the franchises that honor the miss earth title with respect, dignity and integrity.prime example is the miss korea pageant, the owner of miss korea pageant was recently at the carousel productions office to renew the franchise for miss earth 2018 and it was discussed that the main winner of miss korea pageant , the biggest and most established pageant in korea will be sent to miss earth 2018. miss earth korea 2017 hannah lee was also present during the meeting between carousel productions and miss korea organization.
the biggest and most established pageant in the netherlands also sends it major winner to miss earth, they have already started their prepageant activities and the whole team will travel to france for training and group bonding. last year they placed in the top 8 and this year is another impressive line up of beauties who can continue their placementstreak at the international pageant.
miss earth netherlands chooses its candidates from regional pageants , so it is the only national pageant in the netherlands where every region is represented and candidates have to win several heats before they can even compete for the national title. environmental work is also very well entrenched in all their activities and the candidates do their own initiatives to make a good environmental project. the netherlands is one of the most environmnetally conscious country and they have really made their nature sustainable with good balance of development and protection, so they are a perfect country to win the miss earth title.
man of the world winner mustafa elezali will be the youngest national director for miss earth, let us all welcome him as the new national director for miss earth in egypt.
karen ibasco will be a special guest for the coronation night of miss earth singapore 2018 from august 2-4, there are some good line up at this years competition and nice to see karen having lots of travel itinerary internationally. other scheduled trips are colombia august 19-26 and belgium in september.
miss earth is one big family, the pageant promotes good camarederie and cooperation with all the candidates ,the sponsors, the fans and everyone involved. its a good thing to see even the national directors are helping each other and have developed a bond within the miss earth organization. during the wedding of miss earth venezuela national director prince julio cesar and his husband rafael ingganamonte, the national directors of mexico paul marsell and colombia elias tobon were present to support.for the miss earth mexico finals prince julio was a judge during preliminaries as well as finals night.
miss earth 2013 alyz henrich did a collaboartion with the national director of vietnam to do high fashion shoot in new york and alyz was a cover girl of two fashion magazines as a result of this collaboration between two miss earth national directors.
miss earth 2015 angelia ong was recently an invited speciall guest to a media launch in vietnam where she graced the occasion with current international male pageant winners, mister international 2017, mister global 2017 and manhunt international 2017.
now for some tidbits of info, is it true that because of the theme goddesses for 2018 there will be a change in criteria for judging? will a facially beautiful winner finally get the crown for 2018? well judging from the winner of the miss earth philippines 2018 , it will hopefully carry on to miss earth as well. so directors should be careful in choosing their candidates, it seems from the recent selections, their criteria was based on last years victory.will they regret choosing a candidate based on the warrior theme of 2017? when miss earth 2018 is looking for a goddess of beauty? regarding the host country, as far as i know , philippines is still the host country although there is one bidder , this month will be ocular inspection on country bidding. carousel has upped the requirements to host the pageant so it is tougher to get hosting rights, so as not to repeat what happened in 2015.for me no other country can beat philippines as host , so i will be very happy if the filipinos get to welcome the miss earth 2018 delegates again.
