if there is one thing miss earth queens are, they are beautifully dedicated eternally sincere about the work to protect our environment. they are the only queens in existence who are hands on with making a difference and not just take photos and talk and hope it will do something. miss earth queens go out into the forests,mountains to plant trees, they go to the beaches to pick up trash and clean them and deep into the ocean to seed corals. with the amount of destruction our generation has done to nature, the earth queens are doing their micro efforts in their communities and this if all of us follow will  have macro effects to repair the damage. the winning answer of karen ibasco during miss earth 2017 pageant truly resonates to our daily lives and something we should always reflect and practice on.

another queen who has been working for a year now is emma sheedy miss guam. having a year to reign as an earth queen she has done a lot of environmenal activities focusing on getting youthlike her to be more conscious about the impact we have to nature.emma is a natural beauty who has a refreshing aura about her, she speaks well and knows what miss earth is all about. if she maintains her physique well into the finals and is trained well on stage chops she will be formidable for the asia/oceania group.

another strong candidate for 2018 is telma madeira from portugal, both emma and telma were supposed to compete last year but due to being underaged they will compete in 2018.miss queen portugal is the best established pageant in portugal with multiple big sponsors ,government support and the pageant is nationwide with contests held in different regions and provinces , even portuguese international communities have a pageant for miss queen portugal , and the main winner will be the miss earth representative. due to a stable directorship via ricardo monteverde and miss brazil earth 2014 leticia silva , telma is honed by the best. she has improved her stage presence tremendously , she has been going to english classes and of course her activities throughout portugal are varied from planting trees, beach clean ups, recycling campaigns, tourism campaigns and becoming a brand ambassadress for different companies.telma is giving it her all and it shows, she definitely has both the face and body and her speaking skills are being perfected as well so she will be one complete candidate ready to battle it out later this year for the internationl pageant.

one of the miss earth alumna who continues with her advocacy even three years after she was crowned queen is katrina kendall , miss earth england 2015. she is without a doubt a true earth queen and one of the best miss earth representatives england has ever sent to miss earth. her dedication and commitment is just so admirable, she was indeed the right and best choice to represent england in 2015 and should have been the UK girl to place in 2015. she was part of an international conference on sustainability held in abu dhabi and is an invited speaker and special guest!

she also continues to support indigenous communities in mindanao to shed light in protecting their lands as well as improving social services to these group of people.

the pageants are starting to go full swing for 2018, several countries are already ongoing with their pageants with exclusive pageants created only for miss earth.for the first time ever costa rica will have a pageant exclusive for miss earth, jose vasconez is the director and with the support of gorgeous miss earth costa rica 2017 fernanda rodriguez . they have just recently presented their official candidates and lots of sponsors are doing their part to launch successfully the first ever miss earth costa rica contest. i say kudos to jose and his team for their amazing effort, miss earth is something very fit for costa rica as it is a country known for being blessed with beautiful nature and scenery.

miss earth new zealand has also crowned its queen for 2018 and its jzayla hughey and immeditely after being crowned she went into environmental acticitiy with the kids.

the inaugural miss earth guyana pageant is also underway which has been going on for more than a month now. they are handled by a new group and with strong support from government agencies and private companies. they have multiple environmentala ctivites and pageant preliminary shows that showcase the beauty and advocacy of the guyanese women.

the miss philippines earth 2018 pageant is also in full gear with varied activities and travelling to different areas of the philippines to promote "proper waste management". this will be the main advocacy that will be pushed for 2018 and will be the same one to be used for miss earth 2018.the final night will be hosted by robbie domingo and will be based on the theme "GODDESSES".

the miss philippines earth ladies in their figure and form prejudging, last year the controversial black veil was used during this prejudging, now its the hat and change combo, what a brilliant idea.miss earth always pushes the nevelope and creates ideas that are new and innovative.

japan has also been electing their regional representatives which makes it truly a nationwide search not just pure casting. japan has been a very secure and sturdy franchise and has been very active with their advocacies which has been tied up with its major government agencies.

if there is one woman who could make miss earth ecuador grow and be strong in ecuador that is katherine espin. this woman is a go getter and when she sets her sights on something , no stumbling block will stop her from achieving her goals. much like what happened in 2016 , she was on nobody's list to win, but voila she annihilated all of the frontrunners and favorites one by one with focus, charm, hardwork and of course her intelligence and beauty. she has managed to clinch a tv network that will air the pageant on its first year.telerama tv will broadcast the miss tierra ecuador pageant something that the previous directors have not done even though they handled the franchise for a very long time. katherine even has a host city, and now provincial franchise holders to send candidates to the national finals. watch out for miss tierra ecuador, it will be a force to reckon with in south american pageantry .this just goes to show that the naysayers were wrong and that includes me at first, now i am totally convinced the judges made the right decision, the 100 scores given by some of the judges to her during the pageant night has been justified more than a hundred times over.

i know everyone is itching for some miss earth news, i have some very exciting ones. nott sutthilux is the incoming national director for thailand, requirements are being processed at the moment ,as soon as it is completed it will be announced officially by miss earth. this new group and will hold an exclusive pageant for miss earth in thailand. now india, i will just give a clue , it is a company who holds 5 televised pageants in 5 different channels.italy and myanmar have completed requirements and will be from the same group last year. angola national director is currently in the philippines and already had a meeting with crousel executives. they are planning to invite karen to angola later this year.as per my previous post trinidad and tobago has completed requirements and stephanie lee pack will handle the comeback of the twin antion to miss earth 2018.

puerto rico might be absent this year, brenda johnson the current director spoke with carousel and due to the hurricanes last year, puerto rico is still struggling so they might miss joining this year.so for the the trips of karen, she will be in mexico end of may with juliana franco miss water and june 28 in colombia. reunion island has also expressed interest to invite karen but not confirmed yet. well what do you know , alyz is really doing amazing with miss earth venezuela the other older pageant followed her example and appointed previous queens to be directors. miss earth will always be the original and innovative one ! even the biggest powerhouse pageant has followed the very young miss earth venezuela pageant, as they say imitation is the best flattery!

and now for the venue of miss earth 2018, this is not confirmed or concrete yet, but it is being discussed! "GODDESSES IN BORACAY ISLAND MISS EARTH 2018" . it is the perfect time , due to endless effort of miss earth for ecotourism and proper waste management, thepeople are now aware that in order to make tourism an important tool in economic development , it has to be sustainable! what a perfect opening salvo for the reintroduction of the new , cleaner, re-energized and healthier boracay island than the most beautiful and environmentally conscious goddesses advocating to the whole world it is our responsibility to take care of boracay island and our environment in general. in fact miss earth is the first pageant who gave boracay island a seal of approval in 2009 and introduced it to a market that has never heard of boracay island before. miss earth 2009 to date is one of the most successful editions of miss earth , it surpassed the oldest pageant in the world interms of engagement and almost surpassed the second oldest pageant in existence for engagements that year. miss earth 2009 is the reason why philippines has strong pageant sash, because the other two older pageants for the first time saw the potential threat that is the miss earth pageant and the power of filipinos on social media!

karen ibasco is blossoming beautifully into her role as miss earth 2018. she was recently featured on harpers bazaar vietnam and was on the cover of a fashion magazine in vietnam.

i have been quite busy the last few months thats why i  have not written an update. actually so many things have been happening behind the scenes , its scandalous crazy. one thing for sure the miss earth franchise is one hot item lots of people are interested to take it and manage it. even the current franchise holders are not safe because if they are slow to secure it, another company is ready to take it from them.the miss earth franchise is good for one whole year and it is renewed every january , if the current franchise holder has not secured the franchise at the end of january then this opens up carousel to look for another company,well done katherine espin. unless of course that national director secures the franchise in advance by paying in advance. china has secured the franchise already for three years and alyz henrich has secured the franchise until 2020.the chinese delegation recently visited carousel mansions and had a meeting with the executives, they secured the franchise for three years and discussed the possibility of hosting the pageant in china next year. apparently the national directors of miss earth china recently acquired the miss universe china franchise as well.

if the miss venezuela pageant is embroiled in controversy, the miss earth venezuela pageant is going strong and alyz is determined to continue the record breaking success miss earth venezuela had last year becoming the most followed and most engaged pageant in venezuela in all forms of media! it even has regional contests with last year miss earth venezuela water winner michelle barone , now a director for the miss earth portuguesa franchise,what a feat!!!!

the miss earth venezuela pageant 2017 was a megablockbuster hit last year that a lot of venezuelan pageant aficionados have come forward to take up franchises of other countries where they currently live. polish /venezuelan beauty francys sudnicka who was a top 8 finalist in miss earth 2006 is now the official national director for poland, marcel castellano who is from venezuela and lives in spain now holds the miss earth spain franchise and is determined to grow the miss earth brand in spain, also former miss earth venezuela 2008 and top 8 finalist in miss earth 2008 maria daniela torrealba will be one of the coaches for miss earth chile 2018.thats how much impact miss earth has done in the biggest pageant powerhouse in the world.

marcel castellano was actually present during miss earth 2017 coronation night , here he is forming alliances with government agencies in spain to help the miss earth spain franchise establish roots in order for it to sustain and remain strong in spain.

confirmed countries who have already secured the franchise are montenegro as a debutant, trinidad and tobago. miss france wanted to send a candidate this year but they had certain conditions which carousel did not agree to, hence it was given to another group.sometimes financial obligations of some directors are not fulfilled so carousel looks for another company , argentina will be handled by esteban luna, a veteran in organizing pageant in argentina so it will be in great hands.





croatia, cameroon,cuba, northern marianas and india are also confirmed already for 2018.there is a new group applying for hungary that will create a new pageant exclusive for miss earth, hope their plan pushes through.turkey might come back this year via previous miss earth turkey in 2009 gozde zay coordinating it.puerto rico has now been transitioned to a puerto rican group who will handle 2018. remember it was miss earth united states who handled it last year, but in fact they already had puerto rican partners last year and now that group will fully handle miss earth puerto rico 2018.

exciting things are coming up for miss earth 2018 , i know everyone is anticipating, while waiting i would just like to honor miss lorraine schuck, for being a strong independent woman who sticks  up for what is right and who believes in the power of pageants to make a difference in our environment and improve the lives of her fellow filipino people in general.tita lorraine has remained unyielding to all controversies and remained integral throughout because she chooses to have the fair and honest decision prevail , despite her taking the blame for it or miss earth getting bashed for it. one thing miss earth has never done is manipulate results in favor of one candidate, tita lorraine has been offered hundreds of millions of dollars since miss earth started in order change the results but she has refused all of them because she believes in fairness, integrity and has never gave in to any pressure from media, bashings and under the table dealings.something that unfortunately  has been happening to other pageants, that is why lots of camps , media outlets and sites bash miss earth because no matter what they do carousel productions will never give in to their demands and pressure. carousel upholds their values more than money, media hype and political influences.lorraine schuck is a true pride of the philippines, a woman who created a pageant to benefit mankind in the long run and someone who has stood up for what is fair and right while others gave in to bribery ,dirty money, blackmailing and other illicit pageant activities.miss earth is the reason why philippines is doing well in pageantry, it is not the camps. miss universe and miss world noticed the power of the filipinos with miss earth , this was the miss earth 2009 pageant with sandra seifert representing the philippines. the 2009 pageant is the breakthrough that introduced miss earth to the consciousness of the whole pageant industry, it was the pageant season where miss earth surpassed other pageants in terms of social media engagements. that is when the other two older pageants took notice that the filipinos power and love for pageants is something they need to get. 2009 miss earth season was so successful, vietnam ditched miss world hosting and chose the miss earth pageant in 2010. that is when all the other pageants really started to see the potential of miss earth and the filipinos,so they needed to get a piece of the pie!so to the filipinos who are now enjoying the sash advantage of the philippines, you have miss earth an lorraine schuck to thank for!!!
