earth day

april 22 is the annual earth day celebrated all over the world, to pay tribute to our one and only mother earth.miss earth queens from all years have commenrated this event, not by glamming up but rather working and showing the world an example of how to make our earth sustainable. the pageants advocacy does not end after the pageant night is over , miss earth queens continue the work since our earth needs all the help to make it recover from all the centuries of destruction.that is the reason why miss earth is the most relevant pageant in existence because its cause is timeless, priceless and inquantifiable. no amount of glamour and fame can beat the contribution our miss earth queens do to our humanity.
miss earth 2016 katherine espin and miss earth 2015 angelia ong are in angola to crown the first ever miss earth angola the gorgeous ermelinda matos. the new national director is the equally beautiful stiviandra oliveira, she received katherine and angelia like royalty and provided them with the most amazing experience.

katherine and angelia were special guests on angola primetime tv with miss earth angola national director stiviandra oliviera.

whenever the queens travel it is a requirement and essential to have an environmental activity, it never is all about just glamour, it is about influencing people wherever they travel to enlighten them about the importance of our mother earth.miss earth queens never hesitate to do the actual work themselves and inspire the people around them to do the same.

meanwhile in another part of africa miss earth queens are also doing their part to celebrate earth day and contribute significantly to better the condition of mother earth. at the initiative of miss earth ghana 2016 eyram dodor , several miss earth queens launched the " TRASH IN BIN " campaign . this project is supported by the government of ghana and saw the queens meet the president and first lady of ghana. they even planted trees together with the first lady and launched in a grand event to get the message to everyone that trash needs to be properly disposed so it will not clog the sewers and pollute the ocean causing flooding and adverse oceanic occurences.

after meeting royalties of the country , the miss earth queens met with the common people of ghana and did trash collection themselves to show how things should be done as an example to the people to encourage them to follow.

a gala was then held to formally launch it, with press people and important decision makers in attendance of the event.
